November 10

Sorry for the delay in this blog.

On Monday, first of all we went through the passages various people had written about Halloween and bonfire night and made a note of new vocabulary etc.

Then we used M13 from Chikara which is downloadable from the link given below, the main focus of this chapter is the -te form of the verb. This takes a little while to get used to as the various endings seem quite complicated but in fact conjugation of this form is almost entirely regular, as are most verb conjugations in Japanese.

This form of the verb is used a lot and once you get used to it and are able to recognize familiar verbs in this form you will find that you can understand a lot more.

I'm going to e-mail and list of verbs and their various -te forms for reference.
