Oct 6th

We spent part of the class listening to various people's descriptions of their hobbies, what they are good at, not so good at and what they prefer. Very nicely done and gave everyone an opportunity to learn some new vocab.

Then we carried on using a similar construction to the one we were using last week...

Oyogu koto ga dekimasu / dekimasen / dekimasu ka?

Dekimasu - means "can do".

You can use it with a noun:
Tenisu ga dekimasu.

Or a verb:
Jitensha o noru koto ga dekimasu.

Next week we are going to review verb conjugations so I asked people to make a list of verbs, divding them into +ru verbs and +u verbs, and to write down the plain (dictionary) from as well as the masu form , the negative masu and the past masu forms.
